Tire recommendations please !!

Whats up everyone! I own a 2014 big horn 1500. This past weekend I installed 5100’s at 2.1 to level the truck and I can’t be happier. Although at only 30k mileage the upper bolt on the shock was rusted solid and doubled the time of the job. (Awful design by dodge) Anyways I’m now shopping tires to to finish off the look. Like many want an aggressive look yet still want a decent hwy ride. I’m gonna go with an AT TIRE 35/12.5/20’s on stock rims. A close friend owns a tire shop and gave me several options.. please give feedback! Thanks in advance.

I have the same set up as you and have run 35" Ridge Grapplers going on 2 years. They ride just fine on the highway and I have used them in mud and snow and they performed exceptionally well.

I have KO2s on my truck and couldn't be happier. Very smooth ride for an A/T tire and excellent wet traction. Your mileage might suffer if you really even care about that kind of thing. Little expensive though, a set of 4 was around $1350 fully installed. Can't comment on the others, although I've heard that Nitto's don't last that long but I've heard great things about the falcon wildpeaks.

i recommend to stay away from Nittos. i had a set, didn't have any issues that I recall and they were used when i got them. but i've seen enough mixed reviews of them here that I would stay way. hearing nothing but positives on the wildpeaks and they seem less pricey than many other options.

I got my Falken wildpeak AT3w 's from discount tire in the stock 20" size by getting them to price match an Amazon sale. $768 out the door.

I drive 70 miles round-trip for work on i85 here in SC and have been super impressed with the ride, wet traction and low noise of these tires. They are about 4-5lbs heavier than the stock SRA's and I ended up losing about 1mpg if that's important to you. Over 7k miles on them so far. I will buy them again.

Falken wildpeak they don’t wear fast smooth don’t make a lot of noise and a lot cheaper that other brands no complaints here that’s the way to go

Not sure until I check after work, but it's the stock size 20" tires as listed on the door panel. No lift/level on my truck.

I've had KO2s on multiple trucks here in Illinois and they've been great. The only issue that I ever had/saw with them (and I worked for NTB for a couple of years) was that if there's anything wrong with the truck suspension or alignment they will cup or wear out super quickly as they seem to be pretty soft and generally only last about 40,000 miles. They are louder than stock and definitely heavier than stock tires but take a real punishment. They have better wet and snow traction than stock as well. I'm running a set on my lifted 13 Ram 1500 CC and despite being cupped from the time that I bought the truck, they've been great for me with no complaints. I'm debating about whether or not to stick with them at the moment or to try Nittos (i've had good luck with them on a lifted Avalanche) or try the Wild Peaks or Coopers. My concern with the Wild Peaks is that i've never had a Falken tire so I have no idea how good/reliable they are and would be interested in reading more reviews from people in places where it snows. The older Cooper Discoverers used to not have very good wet and snow traction and I knew a lot of people that regretted buying them because of it. I'm willing to wipe their slate clean if I can get some reviews on them as well.

I will be making a similar tire decision come Fall.

My brothers-in-law (several) and nephews like Toyo's for long wear farm use. I'm willing to give up some tire life for wet / snow traction.

I'd filter the advice you receive here by where those posting the advice live and drive - for me snow is a big part of the equation, since I'm in Minnesota. Not sure what part of NY you are in.
