Current Stock tires on 2021 1500 Bighorn:
M+S 275/65R18 116T

This is my first truck and I’m at a loss on where to begin in search of new tires.
Not sure if I should get a larger tire but was hoping for something a little better looking than these stock disasters.
Nitto Grapplers look nice but not sure size or even if they’d go with these rims. Are they too noisy because I’ll be putting a lot of highway miles on them in the next few years.
Use: seasonal weather; mostly travel; not hauling anything and I don’t off-road.
Any info would be very much appreciated.
Thank you!

Since you have 18's you can keep OEM still looks good imo. Here's the best tire poll. Here's my tires just to show same size more aggressive look with at tread. If you go bigger you lose much comfort and zippiness for better off road characteristics. If you don't go offroad, you already have good sidewall compared to 20s. These are 18's with OEM size at tread.

Those are nice! Definitely something like that. New rims necessary?

Those are rebel knock offs, I had twenties moved down to 18's for the sidewall. Ebay is a great resource for rebel knock offs cheap, other guys can find you the best deal, they are inexpensive. Wheels and tires less the 2k for me.

If you like rebel knock offs the bonus is OEM offset, means perfect filament.

maybe your right 17's, even better. I know you cant go as low as 16 w/o serious work, so if you get rims make sure 17's. Verify for 5 gen, this info is on 4 gens. The do look better in person as well, I have plenty comments mostly pumping gas. Something about bfg's.

You have 18" rims on a 4th gen? Were the older Rebel trucks using 5 lug 18" rims?

To assist the OP, AFAIK, OEM 17" are 5 lug for 4th gen & 18" are 6 lug for 5th gen.
Unless you're motivated to swap hubs.

no I forgot my are also 17's, brain fart if I am lucky, brain tumor if I'm not.

bottom line more sidewall gives you the big tire look whether or not you have big tires. So imo 17's are the way to go as you can see.

OEM 20 versus 17's, I hate the photo but just for the big tire look same exact size. Wish they were cleaner to really guage, but who is going to clean throw away.

Yup, for us 4th gen users, but the OP has a 5th gen, so 18" for them.
Unless they want to spend big $ on aftermarket 17" 6 lug rims.

As I'm sure you know, Burla, I've stated the following for the OP's benefit.

On my 4th gen '21 Warlock, I've been using the OEM 20" alloys with Michelin Defenders for summer wheels, and I purchased OEM 17" steel rims with BFG KO2s for the winter.

After driving on the crappy rural roads for 3 years, I've learned the 17" E-rated BFGs are better on the bumps than the 20" Defenders because of the additional rubber.

As soon as these Defenders get close to their end of life, they're getting replaced with a set of 17" Defenders on new rims.

While the 20" might look appealing to some and provide adequate comfort for Southern city roads, they suck immensely up here.

Yes, it is every guys responsibility to know their generations trucks minimum rim size, which is good for the OP.

100% true story I kid you not, a kid went over a pot hole in the road in front of my house, one I went over it a few times really bad, but my 17's with load e no issue, well this poor kid had had a Ford focus old car with no road service and he broke his rim. He had a spare so I was only to glad to help him, and learn him up some on how to change a tire, he was real green I tell ya. As I was changing the tire, I kid you not a Chevy Silverado that had one of those no side wall tires and he broke his rim right in front of us. Here is where it gets funny, dude gets out of his truck and looks at it, then freak'n takes off down the road with a cracked rim, like whatever you idiot. he couldn't be troubled to fix it. No I do not know if he made it home, I could care less. But I can tell you I love tires with sidewall especially in the pot hole capitol of the earth. Lod e with 17's is a real good way to make it over a deep pot hole.
