So I had a few little warranty items to get checked out at the dealership and needed an alignment so I decided to let them do it since they had the truck for the day.

Pretty much as soon as I got my truck back I noticed some shuddering while turning. Get out and check, nothing. Go a few blocks and happens again. Got out and looked and saw this.

It happened once again when I go home as well. So my passenger side front tire is rubbing just about at full lock turning to the left. I have 285/60/20 duratracs on the stock 20's.

I never noticed this ever before. Am I being paranoid or did they do something? Thanks guys.

With the OEM wheels, the fitment is very tight with a tire that large. So it's possible that a minor adjustment in alignment caused the tire to rub there. No big deal, that's part of it when you're pushing the limits with tire fitment.

Yup...you've pushed it a bit on tire width for stock offset wheels.

If they adjusted the camber towards the negative I can see this happening.

As long as it don't look like this, you should be OK:

did they give you a print out of the alignment specs? i would double check that your truck is aligned within spec. 285's *should* fit on stock wheels without rubbing.

Ok thanks guys. They didn't give me a print out at the time, but I got them to send me one. Everything falls within their specs. Must just be the larger tires. Just threw me off because it hadn't happened since they were installed, but maybe that shop didn't align them perfectly from the start.

if its only rubbing on one side and the truck is aligned properly, maybe the sway bar was tightened down too much to one side. you could loosen the brackets and center it better. maybe its off just enough to rub. worth a shot.

if its rubbing on both sides then you either deal with it or get some 1/4" spacers.

^You get twice as much out of you tires like that, once the inner sides wear out you just flip them all and start working on the other side :roflsquared:
