Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Kumho Ecstas in the 285/50r20 - 305/50r20 range on the stock 20" wheels because I am considering them for my truck. I have a plan to put on a 2/4 drop on my truck whenever I can afford it but the tires will come first because my stock 275/65r20s are wearing out. The tread is going down and the outer rubber is cracking and splitting. Any input or opinions are valued and appreciated!

Is there a reason why you prefer the Kumho tires? My past experience with these is that they have a hard compound that doesn't ride as nice or get the best wet traction as many other brands.

As far as sizing goes, you will be fine with both the 285/50/20 or the 305/50/20.

Thanks for the quick response Hemi450hp, well I was going off of pricing, but I did read quite a few negative reviews about them on other sites. Just thought I'd poke around about them here. Any good tire suggestions for those sizes? Also, about how much over hang would the 305/50r20 have on the stock wheels? Would it be excessive? Thanks for the help!

The 305's will have a little bulge, but the 32" height will look nicer than the shorter 285/50/20. If you go with the 285's, I think the stance would look better at a 3/5 drop.

As for brands, check out the Nitto 420S. They are only a few dollars more than the Kumho, but they are a much better quality tire.

I'll be looking into the Nittos, I'll have to save for a little bit though. Thanks for the help Hemi450hp!
