I would throw it on a switch so if I did end up towing it would not give me anything to worry about if I get on the throttle hard. As mentioned before that topper is pretty damn heavy and that is not helping my cause but then to see Frog rip one in his truck with 3.92's is concerning but then again he does have an epic torque cam. And I guess I let myself get a head of logic and here are a few other things I never considered. This truck is old. It has nearly 140k miles on it. Toyo MT's are soft and grippy. I am trying to do a burnout in a 7500 lb GAS POWERED truck. Huge drivetrain losses suck. I have a car that will do 4th gear burnout so really...

Anyways I'm less pissed now but sometime before I go on a few months of travel hopefully I can give some of these ideas a try and report back.

you're wasting your time with a switch. there is zero advantage to having that wire plugged in. you'll find that you'll put the switch in and then never use it.

Plain and simple, your truck has lost a lot of power. If it wont spin those 35's (grippy or not), I dont think the motor is up to par anymore. Try a compression test to start. Also, whens the last time a major tune up was done?

I agree with AF. In all the times I have read about this TMR mod, no one has ever done a switch and no one has ever wanted it back on after pulling the wire.

The switch was meant for towing. Clearly dodge added Tq management for a reason. When I tow I make it count so like 7 or 8000 lbs. Umm last tune up was less than 20k miles ago. Did plugs and ****. Probably should look at the TB. If its time for a new motor **** that would suck. Especially with our ******** tuning problem. Cause if I'm gonna slide a new bullet under the hood I really do not wanna **** around. Oh yeah and the 545 would be on the way out. Maybe go with a GM 4L85E. Or a new truck that I could modify with out spending tens of thousands.

Dunno, You're heavier than me man. The Topper is not all that heavy IMO, and when i did TMR delete didn't notice nothing really and just a slight change with the shift kit.
The elevation is working against you and your tires are prolly too good!

After watchin AF's burn-out video, I'm sure when my gears and LSD go in (Nov timeframe) I'll have the ability to do the same on my 285's.

Doing Burnouts with a Quad-Cab Ram is like working out, you can be stuck on a plateau for months, years and then Bam you can lift more, compared to a mod here and a mod there and the torque starts to get noticed or the tires spin sooner, further etc.

dodge added torque management for the same reason they have slushy, smooth shifts -- comfort. just because its factory doesnt mean its best.

Ugh, those soft shifts are the worst. And man are they slow too.
