To go darker or not?

So I woke up this morning and found myself with not much to do, so I decided to darken the front and rear Ram Head emblems on my 2014 R/T. Take a look at the pics below and tell me what you think....should I go darker? Keep in mind that my truck is Slate Gray as you can see in my avatar.
These pics in order is Prep Step #1; Shadow Coat #2; Shadow Coat #3


What is your opinion?

I used that stuff on my taillights. I too think I should have went darker..

The final outcome....(the rear looks lighter but they are exactly the same color...the sun makes a biggggg difference!)
