Actually the motor in it now is still running great at 235k miles but the tranny needs work.
So I picked up a low miles 66RFE and figured while we are going that far, might as well replace it all.
Excited to see how she runs.

Slight head port and 25 degree back cuts on all the valves. Mopar performance spring. Ported throttle body.
Going to stick with the stock tune until it breaks in a bit then get some records to Hemi fever and hopefully it gets real good.
Just loaded up the tranny and motor and dropped her off.

Well after a few setbacks, needing new motor mounts that were out of stock and finally getting them in, then a head gasket issue.
The motor roared to life yesterday.
So far no codes no leaks. They plan to road test it this morning and i will be picking it up this afternoon.
I'll be able to give you a better idea of how it feels vs the old motor.

Did you upgrade tranny or valve body at all? If not might want to go through valve body and increase line pri when you do your tune. Plans to dyno and set tune together?

letting it break in then i plan on doing the valve body upgrade.

Just drove it home. First thing i notice it id definatley sounds different, much meaner. Its running really rich right now and at idle for a few minutes it will throw a quick P300 randomly. Im thinking this going to happen until the computer adjusts to all the weirdness going on that it was not used to. I can already tell it has much more power but i wont know until im ready to stand on it.
I just emailed hemi fever to see if i can get a bit of recordings to them and see if they can clean it up a bit before i can get good wots to tune to.
