Just ordered my 3500 Longhorn Dually. What are the 5’er RV group out there using for tonneau covers? Looking for a good option that folds/rolls up out the way when towing.

In my 3500 I had an L-shaped diesel tank, roll n lock cover (had to use a GP fuel pump because it was the only one low enough profile to fit). 5th wheel hitch and an amp bed extender all custom installed in there. The tonneau covered it all. That was a few trucks ago, but probably my favourite set up I've had. Slip tank could only pump 60 gallons though.

My buddy uses a Truxedo soft cover that rolls up. Never had any problems with either his previous cover on an older truck or his current one(2500 w/8' bed). It's subject to snow/ice in the winter and frequent car washes.

gator makes a good roll up cover. i have had both the gator and the truxedo. both are rollups that uses a lockin mechanism and loop and hook to hold in place. about 3min to unroll and 5 to roll up and store. the cold did not affect either.

Trick Gear (Line-X) roll up. Aluminum slats, velcro side (you can see the rear driver corner not secured) #1 I like it, it has a cloth outer layer. Looks like a soft top and not paneled. #2 lifetime warranty. #3 When hauling a couple of boards that stick out of the bed, I roll it up just enough to let the wood stick out and secure the velcro until it don't reach. Kinda creates a spoiler too hehe

It's $$$, but to me getting something looking this good, secures the bed and it's flexibility makes it worth it.
