I like my hard rollup Truxedo Sentry cover. Tool-less removal, doesn't block the entire back window when fully open and great customer support.

You looking for a soft cover, hard cover, folding, sliding, etc? I always had hard one piece folding covers until I decided to go with a hard tri-fold on this and my previous trucks. I like the functionality of being to utilize the entire bed but any other kind of bed cover than a hard one piece folding design is not as secure and will let it a certain amount of water especially in a carwash situation.

You need to think out what you expect from a cover, there are hundreds of choices. You have an HD, will you be doing a lot of fifth-wheel or gooseneck towing. I do and went with a Truxedo Deuce, it is a roll-up and the front part of the cover opens for easy access to the front of the bed, it fit my needs perfectly.

For my 1500, I went with the factory cover because it addressed my needs.

That is where I would start, defining what you expect from a bed cover. Good luck.

Thank you guys. Yes I do tow a fifth wheel. I just kind of wanted something that will protect the stuff that I have in the bed of the truck. I know I don’t want a one piece. But I’m open to the rolling or folding ones. I’m actually leaning towards one of those Softopper’s it’s a soft camper shell pretty much. The reason I want to do that is when I take my bot I want to be able to sleep in the back of the truck instead of the tent. The wild boars go crazy where I camp lol. So I thought the Softopper would be a good choice. I’m open to suggestions on that as well. Thank you I guys for your time

Just looked up the soft top you were referring to, that is cool and looks like it will fit your needs. It doesn't block out the rear window when collapsed and gives full access to the bed for towing. I've never seen one before but where I live, I don't know if it could survive winter ice and snow.
