What absolute nonsense. The lack of basic integrity in companies today is out of control as all the little brands get taken up under one parent company. If this isn't something they just pulled out of their ass, they go to great lengths to hide this information.

"
Tonno Pro has a Limited Lifetime warranty and will go up to 7 years from purchase.

Kind Regards

Wes H.
Product Support Specialist"

Yet on the realtruck website:

Limited Lifetime Warranty
WHAT IS COVERED: All defects in materials or workmanship on select Tonno Pro branded products properly installed per provided instructions except those listed below under the Three Year Warranty. This warranty does not apply to any product from Tonno Pro’s direct or indirect subsidiaries.
FOR HOW LONG: This warranty, and any implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last as long as the original retail purchases own the vehicle on which the product is installed. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

Nothing new, but they are losing a repeat customer over a $5 part simply because they are liars. Is it just too much to ask for basic integrity in supposedly American based businesses? Apparently so.

I've no idea why this thread was moved to 5th gen interior by a mod. It's a bed cover, so not an interior product, and not on a 5th gen...

It's really sad but that's typical these days with all the false advertising. It was probably written in small print that wasn't visible to the naked eye.

Limited lifetime really means if you fall over dead in 7 years.

I think the reps are just making it up as they go. The warranty says "last as long as the original retail purchases own the vehicle on which the product is installed." which I do.

I'm just going to order a replacement latch from one of their Chinese knock off competitors and never do business with them again. Lund Industries owns them, I think, so just another mega-corp to avoid.

After decades of "Buy American first" I'm over it when it comes to big brands. The customer service and integrity just seems non-existent post-COVID. I guess they learned people would put up with them regardless so there was no reason to invest in it.

Well, I see why customer service at Tonno Pro has gone to ****. They were acquired by the RealTruck parent company, so they are basically car accessory Wal-mart now.
