yup. we'll just call it a removable light rack.

That also might carry some gear and a kayak or two.

Thinking of making some type of base with a 45° angle on top, and having it sit in my drawer that opens in the center dash.

Maybe that foam **** that girls use to make the fake flower arrangements..

a little foam , a little glass, you can make ANYTHING... even a new center console.

I was considering the idea of fiberglassing it. I don't miss working with that stuff at all. The foam itself wouldn't be visible anyways..we'll see.

(I have fiberglassed existing dashes a plenty of times, back when it was cool.. Nothing custom made though.)

I wonder if you could make it so it disappears when you close the door? Some kind of simple articulation that raises it up when the drawer opens and lays back down when it closes.

Well, it will disappear when I close it, because it will be inside.

Basically, to use it, I will open the drawer for access.

But it will be laying flat in the open drawer, no. I cant picture how the drawer looks open and shut i guess.
