Hey everyone. Any feedback to help my decision? Classic style Warlock or new body style Big Horn? I like the look of the Warlock better, but the 2021 Warlock is too expensive so it’s either 2020 classic Warlock at the same price of a 2021 Level 1 Big Horn. Drawbacks to the Warlock in my opinion is no push start, no dampened tailgate and I’m hearing about a big hump on the floor of the passenger seats. Downside to this comparison for the Big Horn is less options - no dual zone climate or heated seats/wheel. Doesn’t look as nice as the Warlock in my opinion with all the chrome. Both are being offered at the same price monthly. Warlock sticker is about $1,500 more, but discounted more because it’s a leftover. What to do??

The 5th gen rides better, in case that means anything to you. It also has a nicer interior, despite maybe having less features (when comparing these 2 specific trucks).

So, it's Heated Seats and Wheel, and a look you like better compared to a dampened tailgate and push start?
IMO, I'd go with the heated seats.

I'd get the Big Horn if it has the premium lighting (LED headlights/taillights). The Warlock is basically a 4th gen Big Horn with Rebel looks. I've owned both, and the 5th gens are the better truck IMHO. Updated interior and a smoother ride to name just a couple.

The Big Horn is just a level 1. No light package or anything. If I move up at all the price shoots way up and I want to be at a certain budget. That’s the tough part. We’re a 1 car family right now and need a second whip.

If you don’t want all the chrome on the big horn then get the sport package and you will get the paint to match bumpers and handles and all that, that’s what I did.

Are the 5th gens really that much of a better ride?
My neighbor has a 2019 bighorn, me a 2016 larmie. The bighorn interior has definitely advanced compaired to the 4th gen bighorn.
I haven't driven in his to compare it to mine, but i love my 4th gen laramie interior!
Imo i wouldn't get a 5th gen with a chrome front end, something dont look right with the fenders meeting the grill. Color matched 5th gen front ends look good though.

I agree I'm not a fan of all that chrome. But the 5th gen chassis and interior is what sold me on my Rebel over the Warlock. Like someone else said try to work a deal on a sport.

Make sure you get what you want, When the Hemi 1st came out, I bought a light blue 2500. I really didnt like the color but the price fit the budget. After awhile the truck didnt wow me anymore and I couldn't wait to get something else. I thought I could live with it or it would grow on me. It never did. I guess that works if you don't care what you drive. But if you hate the chrome don't get it.

Push start is a fairly easy mod to do on the 4th gen, and 30 bux gets the deezee tailgate strut for that stupid, easy down for people who don't know how to lower a gate.

4th gen is way nicer looking and not a ton of ugly chrome

The front end of the 5th gen Rams needs a refresh. There are too many pieces to it. You have the brow over the grill, and all of that space below the headlights. The only 5th gen grill I actually like is the Rebel.
I agree none of them look good in chrome. If a design only looks good painted and not with chrome, then there is something wrong with it. The 4th Gen looked good in all trims.
On the 4th gen Ram, if you wanted to swap the grill shell and inserts it wasn't a big job and it was inexpensive to do. 5th gen has so many parts that are hard to remove and very expensive. 4th gen was about 400 to change from chrome to painted. I've seen it posted a few times that on the 5th gen you are looking at around 1600 in parts alone.

No .... my parents have a 5th Gen and I don't like the way that truck feels .... the inside to me seems like they tried too hard to make it look very busy .... too much going on inside the 5th gens ... but that is just my opinion on them ....
