Well I've had my '14 express for one week and today the radio will not do anything. It's the 5" touchscreen. Just lights up with the ram logo. No buttons will do anything. Anyone know what this could be or ever have this problem? Thanks

Mine (2013) has glitches also. Satellite radio stays on one channel, radio/computer shuts off by itself. Sometimes I park, shut the truck off, and then restart and the problem goes away.
I have to flash the update that came out I believe in December for the Uconnect 5.0.

I'm beginning to think it's a 5"screen thing. I had the same problem and took it to the dealership. Xm would always freeze and then I'd have to use voice commands to change stations. Took it back to the dealer to get it worked out.

Yeah I'm reading a lot of issues about this online. Many seem to be with the 8". Sucks, only had truck for one week with 200 miles on it and have a problem already. It's going to dealer Monday for bedliner they owe me so hopefully they can fix this. I've read where a lot of people have had to have the radio replaced.

My truck is in for second time for UCONNECT 5 issues. Been in for 5 days this time and they can't figure it out. Compass worked when I bought it. Now the radio compass isn't functioning and it's going on 3rd radio. They called dodge for help and dodge tells dealership my vin shows I have no compass!
The F'n thing had a compass when I bought it!! Getting aggravated quickly and after 1500 miles, I want them to take back...lol
Think in Michigan the lemon law is 4 times same repair. This is my first new vehicle I've ever bought in my 40 years. Father retired from Chrysler so I went the Dodge route. I love the Ram, just don't like mine.

If anybody is wondering what the reset steps are. I had black screen problems and this is what they told me.
1. Turn off radio
2. Turn key to acc
3. Hold both the voice and phone buttons for 30 SEC.
4. Now open the driver door for 30sec.
5.close door and switch key to off
6. Restart car and that is Uconnects factory reset..

Have you made sure the firmware is up to date? I think you can go onto the uconnect website and type in the vin for your truck and it will show you if there is any updates available. There could be fixes etc in updates. I may be wrong as I havent tried it

Welcome to the wonderful world of uConnect. Chrysler should be in legal action with uConnect because the stereos are not performing well for a quite a few people and it's costing Chrysler a lot of money in repairs and replacements. My truck with less than 3500 miles on it (and with the 5.0) has been to the dealer 6 or 7 times for radio problems. Some issue seem to have been fixed with new parts (USB module), others just seem to be faults with the operating system itself. You just have to keep on 'em and if the dealer starts to resist, call Chrysler personally and get a case/file number started outlining the problems.

Mine didn't either till after I drove it, shut it off then when I got back in and was good. Its still a P.O.S.

I'm getting mine replaced next week they had to order another cluster but now in beginning to think about just keeping mine because I'm not having as bad of problems as some of you lol. Mine will only sometimes stay with the same satellite radio channel and song and artist even though I change channels. Eventually it catches up. That's the only problem I've been having with mine now.
