Does anybody know what the difference is between the 14 and the 17 tow mirrors are...would it just be a different plug, they should be the same bolt pattern I would think...has anyone put 2017 tow mirrors on a 14?

As far as I know the different tow mirrors were 2009-2012 and 2013-2019. The only difference being that the 2013+ mirrors have an incorporated thermometer in them for the external temperature readout.
So the 2017 mirrors should be a direct fit to your 2014.
