Tow mirror replacement

Hey everyone,

So I parked my truck on a side road to do some work on my other car on my drive way. After I finished with the car, I went back to get my truck and saw that my driver side mirror was moved forward, as I got close I realized that someone hit it and because people suck, no one left a note. The only real damage was the extension mirror or insert mirror, whatever it’s called broke and came off. So naturally, I came here to post to ask if that piece can be replaced, or if the whole thing needs to go. The truck is fully insured so if need be I can go that route but if this is more simple than it is I’d appreciate the help.

That sucks. Not positive but think you can buy a replacement mirror piece for that. Otherwise you can try ordering just the one mirror. I try very hard not to park along the road but if I do I always fold my mirrors in.

Yeah I don’t usually park on the side road, it wasn’t even 2 hours when it happened. Buying a dash cam tomorrow as well, so annoyed right now.

Edit: just found a replacement piece on Amazon but the mounting plastic piece inside the mirror has some broken pieces so the piece does not stay.

I believe A1 sells the replacement mirror and possible pieces.
