I just bought a 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins truck. My odometer reads 43,000 or so. Today, I was cycling through the various setup windows and ran across the trailer braking stuff. As you can see from the picture below the DIST number is 183,000 something, can some one please tell me what this number represents? It better not mean I’ve been a victim of an odometer roll back!!815368A8-4474-447D-AB72-50307060C0BF.jpeg

Hate to say it it's either been changed or they changed the cluster and forgot to reprogram. Either way I'd look for a carfax report I'm thinking you may have gotten taken

Gooseneck installed? How’s the overall underside of truck? I mean they “could” have replaced cluster on the truck and set mileage but didn’t reset that from the old truck. But that don’t look so good. I’d def dig deeper

Very suspect... Good luck. Might be a replacement cluster, though they didn't do it as an upgrade, as it is still the basic cluster.

Looks like they changed your cluster. I upgraded mine to the LCD one, but the odometer carried over from the truck it came out of (I just remind myself that I have 26k more km than the odometer says). All my other numbers on the cluster are seemingly just messed up weird numbers that don't even carry over from the old truck or my truck. Like my idle/drive hours are messed up, but unfortunately my towing distance number remained correct.
I don't know what this means for your truck, but here's hoping they replaced the cluster and programmed the mileage correctly and that's just some messed up number that carried over from somewhere.
