I broke my rims down and put them in myself. I figured the new sensors weighted the same as the old ones and rebalancing wasn't needed. You can get the Ram factory sensors on Ebay for $11.00 each. Check out my post above for link.Just wondering for those of you that are replacing them yourself, do you have to take it somewhere to get the tire rebalanced?
So, you have never had a high speed blow out? With absolutely no warning?Yup! the only real solution, unless you like wasting money on useless features. If you cant feel a low tire you should be operating a truck... lol...
How old are yours? It seems if one is starting to go out with a bad battery, you may as well replace them all because they're all going to eventually go out. As I posted a couple months ago in this thread, I got the Alligator ones at America's Tire, and they're guaranteed for 7 years. They were $63 each installed. They've been working perfectly.Ok, one of mine is going out. On warm days its fine. On cold days it is out. An indication the battery is getting old.
Called Discount. $78 for one. $312 for four.
Garry tells me its best to replace all four .............go figureHis rationale: When they go thru the "relearn process" it draws more battery current on all four. And that could cause the others to fail......Hmm. Interesting theory. Any thoughts?
6 years 2 months since truck was bought new. Don't recall the actual build date. I would rather take my chances and see what happens. I'm retired so spending another 25 minutes at Discount tire is not a big deal. I know I will end up replacing them eventually. Hell, I may end croaking before then.....How old are yours? If Walmart down there is only 10 bucks each installed, why would you not be doing that. Even if they only last 3 or 4 years, you can put in a new set with each set of new tires and still be WAY ahead of the game.6 years 2 months since truck was bought new.
