Just curious...if traction control is not working properly, should I have a warning light on the dash? My 2017 Crew-cab wants to get out from under me while negotiating turns and it has no problem spinning the back tires from a stop. My little boy actually asked me if I “drifted” the other day when it happened. I thought traction control was supposed to prevent that. I’ve checked the button in the cab every time I lose traction and it indicates that TC is engaged. Other than the fact that i still have the crappy GY Wranglers from the factory, is there something else going on?

I recall back in my 1500 the truck would also lose traction very easily in the back on the factory Goodyears. Also with TC engaged to normal mode. Once I put A/T tires on it there was no more spinning unless I pretty much floored it. Could be the sucky tires. I hated those.

Traction control won't keep it from spinning. Rather, it mitigates the spin once the wheels break loose.

I suspect it's those Wrangler tires. They have a high durometer measure (harder rubber) and just aren't that great for dry traction, IMHO. The Transforce on my CTD were pretty bad too.

Once you upgrade the tires to something a bit more aggressive tread pattern and lower durometer measure you'll have to work harder to spin 'em.

I appreciate it the input. These tires have only got 13,000 miles on them, so I wanted to rule out any other issues before I start tire shopping.

I believe I have noticed on a few rare instances that my tires have broke traction that the traction control light will illuminate on the gauge cluster while it is doing its thing - whatever that is on a conventional differential...

I had the same experience with the Goodyears. Replaced them at 1000 miles and never experienced it again, unless I tromp it turning a corner.

IMHO it's not a failing traction control

That’s why I was wondering about the TC...the light on the dash never comes on while/if it is engaged.
