Trans drain plug

Was thinking about doing my transmission drain and filter change, looks like a replacement pan is only about $40 may be worth swapping out pan and not have to mess with adding a drain plug like this should have had.
Anyone else do this?

Went to a PML cast pan with cooling fins. I was looking for max cooling with this and a 1 ton cooler.

Not at all, the pic is misleading. It's still above the lower control arms.

I guess the potential is always there, but not likely. I would say overcool would be if you could keep the temp down low enough that the trans computer locks out OD until it's warm enough. I haven't had any problems yet and it's nice to have when towing long distance or hauling stuff.
