You don't want my opinion of Cork gaskets,there's a reason they're very seldom used anymore. I'd of used the replacement gasket if it was rubberThere is a strong chance that they got fake mopar gaskets from some online supplier. They often don't even look like the authentic one when observed side by side.
My last tranny fluid and filter, I ended up with one of the fakes from what I thought was my usual supplier through Amazon. You have to be very careful with Amazon, sometimes they substitute a different supplier posting when the one you thought you were dealing with is out of stock. Sometimes the supplier just switches sources when they get a really good deal (for them, not you).
I was very glad that the original one was still in excellent shape (as it should have been at less than six months old). I opted to reuse it instead of risking the wrong looking one, which was actually all rubber, instead of the factory cork.
