Transmission fluid 1/4” above full mark

Posted couple weeks ago about leaking transmission fluid from bad pan gasket. Had new gasket put on and now it shows 1/4 or so above full mark hot. Should I extract some to bring it below the hot mark or is it good. What a deal

No , I don’t. But if it truly bothers you…. then SUCK it out thru the dipstick tube.
If it were mine…i’d find something else to worry about. (wink)

Is that check with trans hot or cold? Also parked on level ground?

Yes Hot, level and checking in neutral as it states on dip stick

IMHO that 1/4 above OK on tranny stick, but I am no mechanic, but for years I had mine somewhere in that area cept now of course who knows. NE way, AS stated, if U R concerned, just take some out till U get it a smidgeon below full line. Wateva U do, do not take ne thing said here as gospel, if U R concerned at all, take some fluid out.. Does you truck have the 6 or 8 speed?
Not sure wat year they switched to the 8's for the Bigger Hemi's.
