Yep, and thats exactly where the air bags go.... at the outer ends of the axle (where the bumpstops are).

First two things I would do is add bags and Thurens rear track bar. Then if needed, I would do the sway bar next.

Air assist springs first. I added Timber Grove ASAM's to my 1500 and it made a world of difference for towing my camper.

If your truck does not have sway bars front and rear add them as they are most important with cabovers. I ordered my 2000 LWB Cummins with the camper special package and it has big diameter sway bars on it. I have a popup and a large hard side weighing 2400 empty and the popup has no leaning issues at all compared to the big hard side. It has overload leaf springs that just engage with the big camper on and I run 5100 Bilsteins that give a nice controlled ride. You should not have issues with a lite popup. Start with the sway bar and then look at airbags if you have too much sag.

My 3500 is a dually and I put Timbergrove airbags onit made a big difference. I almost bought the Roadmaster Active suspension. My understanding is these are awesome. A guy who works for me, at my recommendation, but them on his F250 and said it made all the difference in the world in everyday driving and also in pulling is Toyhauler 5th wheel. I will tell you the Timbergrove bags are by far my favorite bag I have seen. They are much better in my opinion than Airlift or Firestone. But that is personal opinion. If you can look at the Roadmaster you may end up with an entirely different truck out of this as it will preform much better all around. And in the grand scheme of things easier to install and less fuss after the install. If I could have put them on a dually I would not have airbags.

All good suggestions above.

That said, it's a top-heavy truck camper in the bed of your truck. It's gonna lean in the corners. My father has a F450 that he loads a 3500-4000 lb camper into, and even THAT thing leans in the corners.

For better or worse this truck is a newer 2500 and has coil springs for rear suspension so the Roadmaster active suspension does not work since those are for leaf spring applications only.

I think due to cost I'm going to start with air bags. I'm seeing Air lift Loadlifter 5000 Ultimate Plus for $383.99 or Timber Grove Rear ASAM for $406.

Hellwig emailed me back and said I need both their front and rear sway bars at $568.40 for the rear and $438.61 for the front. Seems like a tough pill to swallow not knowing for sure if it'll cure my problem and I'll still have a bit of sag.

I really appreciate everyone's help and experience. I'm going to place an order tonight if I find the time. I'll keep you all updated!

I wanted to ask... Why do you recommend Thuren's rear track bar? Thuren replied to me recommending air bags should be my first install followed by sway bar if needed. They didn't mention adding their track bar.

I give Thuren credit for that since they're steering me towards products they don't manufacture or sell. Makes me trust their advice even more.

The scary thing about it was my truck was leaning dramatically left to right back and forth going down a perfectly straight highway. I wouldn't dare take a turn at more than 25mph in it's current state. And I'm not kidding. It's that bad.

I just called and talked to Austin with technical support at CJC. After explaining my issue he recommended I needed better shocks. He says I should go with the Carli Pintop shocks. I just looked them up and shocks alone are over $2500! What the.......???

Timber Grove ASAMs for the 2500's run $400 and some change...will get rid of the squat you have, get it to level again and where the air springs are placed, will more than likely stop the sway you feel when you make turns.

The track bar isn't going to do much for what you are experiencing, it help eliminate the "wiggle" with higher speeds and bumps.

Your on the right track with Air bags. Timbergrove has always look like a good system to me. Airlift would be good also.

Like OC455 stated, it most certainly will not fix your current issues by any means, but it will just make the truck handle much better overall.

Just do the rear sway bar as a start. Helwig (7306) or Roadmaster (1129-135) are good choices. You'll be surprised how much less sway you get with a bigger rear bar.

You should be able to find Roadmaster or Helwig rear for under $400 shipped with the Roadmaster being slightly less expensive.

Had similar issue moving from my 06 3500 with Torklift Stable loads to my 2018 3500 with factory air. Roadmaster tightened the 18 up to at least as good as the 06 for sway.
