So about a month ago I noticed that my 1997 5.9 L was overheating a bit. After a little investigating I found that I had several issues. The water pump and timing chain cover were leaking. I replaced the thermostat, water pump, timing chain cover gasket, hoses, and the temp sensor. No more leaks and no more overheating. I thought everything was good. For some reason after doing all of this, while driving, if I take my foot off of the gas pedal. The truck will drop to 0 rpms and die. It starts and idles a little rough right away, but immediately levels out and idles fine. I researched a bit, and tried resetting the pcm. That fixed it!..... for a week. Now it is back to doing the same thing. Any ideas?

Could be the throttle position sensor or Idle Air Control valve.
My '97 would almost die when at a stop sign but not quite. Put in a new AIC and it was perfect again.
