Truck Keyed

Some a$$hole decided to key passenger side of my new truck. I'm fuming so much. When I find out who keyed my truck, i'm going to put my boot so far up their ass that when i pull it out, my sock is going to be hanging out of their a$$hole.

first time any of my vehicles have been keyed.

Now, for the reason of this thread.

the color of my truck is granite crystal, i was able to buff some of the scratches out. there are a few spots where this ***** scratch off the paint. is there anything from pepboys or autozone i can get for the time being?

You can probably get some touch up paint if you're worried about rusting, but aren't you going to take it to a body shop? If so, then I wouldn't worry about it. The body shop will take care of any rusting, etc. when they fix it.

Get some color matched paint from Dodge dealer or on ebay! I got some for a few scratches on my Western Brown Pearl and it matched almost perfectly! After some wax, you can barely tell there was a scratch there!

Get a pro to fix it.... if it isn't too bad they can use touch up paint, wet-sanding, and buffing to make it blend in so you won't see it.

I just bought some of that mopar touch up paint from the dealer for $20. i'll touch it up what that and take it to my uncles body shop for the wet sand...

Some touch up paint, then some gentle wet sanding, followed by some liquid compound buffing should get it out fairly easily.... I have done a couple of scratches on mine that way with excellent results.

Check out YouTube for some how-to's. A little patience yields awesome results!

I'm trying to figure out how deep it is. When you see white, how deep can it be? I will post up pictures a little later.

I agree with going through dodge. It will be a perfect match. I had a maroon F150 a few years ago, and I used Ford, and it was a perfect match.

I had this happen with my 2014 within hours of picking it up from the dealership. Took it to a few different body shops and the scratches were too deep to just be covered up or touched up so I ended up paying my $250 incidental deductible and the body shop took the bed off the frame and repainted the bed and tailgate.

Sense it's a brand new truck if I could swing it I would get a pro to fix it.

Bring it to a professional shop...I live in the cesspool state of NYC so its a common occurrence...it happened to my Wrangler...the lighter the color, the less noticeable
...dark colors need to be professionally done
