The transmission is electronic, the parking pawl is a manual piece, if it does not properly engage then the vehicle will roll.

Use the parking brake, it's the only 100% guaranteed way of having a fail safe if it does not engage

With my 2016 Ram, if i turn the stupid Rotary Shift Knob too fast, a message pops up on my EVIC, stating that the transmission is not in Park

I just had this happen with my 2006 mega cab. Put it in park in my inclined driveway. As I was getting out heard a pop and truck rolled back a little bit. Driveway was dry. What causes this to happen? Doesn't happen every time just now and then.

I have an inclined driveway as well. I always use my e-brake just because I have heard this Rumer before. I have never had this happen to me and don't want it to. When I park on level ground I don't use it but, I might start.
