Truck wont move!!

Hi everyone, I need some help. I have a 2003 2500 dodge ram that I just installed a new transmission, but it doesn't want to move unless I put it in 4 high then it moves. What could be wrong?

I don't see any comments to help you yet. You have probably gotten help elsewhere by now but my thoughts are that the transmission doesn't care if you are in 2 Ed or 4wd. You most likely have an issue with the transfer case, but you can't rule out the rear differential could have a stripped gear. Good luck.

Sounds like a Transfer case engagement issue, but U need a person who is a Gearhead to help U out on this one.

I would jack up the rear end so back tires are off ground and spin rear tires by hand and see/hear if rear end seems ok. Pay close attention to rear drive shaft too. I mean it's possible they forgot to connect it or something.
