I know why you need an X (or H) pipe, depending on your setup/preferences.
I was simply pointing out that the exhaust that the OP is running is not technically a “true” dual exhaust.
With the torque thing, I wasn’t talking about small restrictive exhausts. I was assuming both could flow the same cfm. There was a really good video a while back showing the dyno numbers comparing several exhaust setups(one was true duals, one was single). I’ll see if I can find the video again.
While none of the different setups significantly changed the total torque and HP numbers, they did change at what RPM those HP/TQ numbers were reached.
Single moved power down in the RPM range, and dual raised it up.
Again, I’ll have to see if I can find that video again.
