I have a 2012 1500 with the 4.7L in it. This week I will be upgrading to 35" tires, and need a way to account for this in the trucks computer. I know about the Hypertech Speedometer Recalibrator, but at $200, I feel that it is probably worth it to opt for a full tuner instead. I don't need anything super advanced, but if I'm going to spend the money over the recalibrator, I'd like to get some decent gains in performance, especially in power and MPG since both of those will take a big hit after the 6" lift with 35s. What tuners are out there for the 4.7, which should I get, and why? I am a complete noob when it comes to stuff like this, so an easy to use unit would be helpful as well.

If you have no major performance plans other than bolt ons, look into bullydog dog. Contact matt (hemi450hp) at moes performance he'll set you in the right direction

I also have the 4.7 and I'm putting 35's on Monday. I ordered the Bully Dog Tuner from Matt at Moe's. It should be here tomorrow. It will do what you are looking for, recalibrate for tires and gives you a couple different options for fuel efficiency or performance. Also a crap load of other stuff.

Bullydog GT Hemi Plus Tuner for 2011-2012 Ram 5.7

I know the link and tuner say Hemi, but it works with our 4.7's also. I think this is one of the only options for us right now.

I have superchips and love it. The extra 40 bucks for the advanced tranny tuning completely changes how your truck drives, and could benefit you with the larger tires

I'd do the Bully Dog and I can surely set you up with this. PM on its way :)

Most people would probably choose superchips over bullydog, but superchips needs to hurry up and get in the game.

This is possibly very accurate!
But 11/12's have to work with what we have and something is better than nothing :D

I remember being jealous over all the 09/10 guys last year as they had tuners and we didnt :emotions36:

I have a 2012 sport and am looking to throw on a CAI and have been looking at tuners and am unsure what to get. Diablo sounds good but have read a bunch on how bad the customer service is. And BD sounds pretty good. Any input on the interceptor from hyper tech? If I get a tuner should I have it custome tuned somewhere to my truck? Thanks for any input.

Interceptor is more of a 'chip' style tune.
I would lean you back towards the BD or Diablo.
If you get the Diablo, the custom tune is not a must, but it is a nice add on later or at the time of purchase.

We carry the T1000 as it comes from factory (I can give you RF member pricing) or sell them with a custom engine and trans tune done by WhiteLightning :)

either way, send me a PM and I can provide you pricing.
