Tuner?

What does everyone suggest for a tuner, thinking about the bullydog GT. anyone have any opinions on these??

i went with the bully dog gt i ordered it a few days ago and now im just waiting for it to come in cant wait!!! I went with bully dog because i didnt want to mess with custom tuning and i was told that the bully dog had good canned tunes

haven't heard many good things about the bully dog and the 3rd gen rams. Personally I run a DSP because if the custom tuning for my engine/ trans. Superchips is another good and proven tune for these trucks. Wouldn't look at anything aside from the two of them (Diablo/ Superchips), everything else is to hit or miss.

Diablo for custom, Superchips for all around stock (plus it comes with trans tuning).

I am new

Hi! I am new to the forum, I didn't know how to start my own thread, but I came in to the forum with some questions regarding tuning.

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, 4.7 litre V8, SLT 4x4 quad cab with a manual trans. I also just recently bought a superchips cortex 3950. I want to get the best custom tune out of this unit that will give me more horsepower, how can i do the best custom tune to get the most out of my truck?

Any help would be great! I can't seem to find anything on their website.

Unfortunately, the Superchips tuners are not custom tunable, so your only options are the tunes that are already on the handheld. Do you have any other performance upgrades at the moment?

The only modification i have right now is the cortex, i guess what i meant was, out of the two menu options on the cortex, ("quick tune" or "custom tune"), i want to choose the custom tune option but i dont know how to set it to get the best tune with the most horsepower.

Can't go wrong with superchips. The trans tune is well worth it too.
