Now I have an MDS droan AND a differenital whine that Dodge said isnt right on first inspect but once they figured it wasnt fixable they reverted to its "As Per Design" for both problems. Now As Per Design would mean, by definition, that all trucks would have the condition, have it from Day 1, and all vehicles would have it to the same degree. Both my MDS and and differential whine were Not present from day 1, developed later, and others dont have it at all, and others that do have it not to the same degree as mine. Really? As per design?

Full details of the history here, but is As Per Design a reasonable excuse under these cicumstances? Service Advisor and techs say no but their hands are tied:

Holy **** man! That's absolutely horrible! Have you thought about filing a claim against them? That's ********! What's the point of a 100,000 mile warranty, if your gonna dismiss all the problems? Might as well call it a 100,000 mile side-step policy!

Its kind of common actually. Started back when everyone began offering 7 yr /100K mile warranties. The lawyers calculated that its cheaper to offer mega warranties (like Hyundia does) then do Buy Backs and such. It's all very calculated in advance and disguised as good intentions toward the consumer. I will keep after them :shooter:

Good luck man! I totally support ya! :********:

You said it started happening around 6K miles? I'll have to see if I get it. I'm at 2K right now. No drone, vibration, or whining as of yet. But ****, I've only done 1 oil change so far. So we'll see. If they give me that ****, I'll drive the mother ****** truck right back through the window onto the showroom floor! If the MDS is ****** up, give me a brand new damn engine! It's what we paid for!

Get everything in writing and file a lawsuit against the stealership. See how fast their hands become untied.

Received the final response from Chrysler for the BBB complaint. As expected, they declined providing more proof of their ability to stall consumers to death withbaffling responses like A) only discusssing the differential whine even though my oriignal complaint included MDS, B) totally refusing to address the 3 points about issues not being not consistent bewteen owners and C) took an additional measure to finalize that since AS PER DESIGN they wont even make any more attempts to fix differenital, even though techs had some ideas. Take a moment to read the complete BBB transaction history as it paints a clear picture Chrysler's circling their wagons to deny deny deny, and using their business savvy to not address questions directely and wear down the consumer.

Their approach is quite maddening but fascinating in its comlete failure to speak to the main issues. They REALLY are not interested in supporting us.

Have you tried another dealership? I have had Chrysler replace stuff way outside of warranty by going to the right dealer.
