As far as adding / changing things on this truck. One is the continuous groaning/ dragging sound when in reverse. The second is the rough idle when in park.

When I was younger and the ground had just started to cool, I added a bunch of stuff quickly to my car. To the tune of $10,000 in the first three months sadly. I just knew I had a winner on my hand and planned the next stages. One day leaving my office, the engine went BOOM on a four month old vehicle with less then 1000 miles on it. Of course it was still under warranty and the dealership was very helpful. While in their care the shop caught fire and there went my vehicle. Their insurance company would only pick up the value of the vehicle at the time.

Being young and not doing my due diligence I never looked into insurance to cover my add on. Shame on me and I can not fault anyone for not telling me about this. Ever since then I’ve treaded lightly as far as adding high ticket items unless I had them fully insured asap. But in this case all of the parts that I’ve added can be removed and stock items put back on. I really like this truck and would love to do more. But if they can not get these two things resolved, this is it as far as modding.

Again this is not a bash Ram posting as the truck is great outside of a few things. Just would like these taken care of and allow me to keep doing what I do. Also as an aside I do have a STAR case about the rough idle. Hopefully no one else is going through this.

DRKNESS: Once in a bluemoon I get a rough idle. As far as groan, just the ole brake drag/squeak reported. I have not done either of the (2) recalls, so I will address these issues with SA at dealer. Also, a couple of times, when backing up and rolling, if I switch to "D" quik, it has stalled. Checked, no codes thrown. Put on my bluedriver, not seeing ne codes. That one has me stumped. Just add to my list.

BUT I have already taken a trip from TX to NC, to NJ, to De, to NC, to NJ, 4050 miles, and the truck was flawless. So I am OK, lil things I will get to...

I only have added some cosmetic stuff like all LED interior, floor mats, wheel well liners, dashcraft dash cover (hot here).

My last 2 mods will be Bed cover and a bed mat. (ALSO get rid of SRA's, gotta wait for big $$$$$ for bed cover and tires)

I’ve been to N.C twice and I’m at 14,000 miles. The groan I’ve had the entire rears replaced before. Now they are about to tackle it again. That rough idle is what’s annoying me as when sitting I shut the truck off. Doesn’t fare well when it’s cold or very hot out lol.

I usually get gas at Riggins and have switched it up and still does it. Did 93, 92, 89, and 87 and no change.

DITTO: But I stay with the 89, usually, and I stay away from Mom and Pop places for fuel, tho they usually got better eats, LOL.

Again, all in perception and IMHO....

(Never heard of Riggins)

Have you noted the gas level in tank when rough idle occurs, or is it an always happens thing?

FWIW: My older Hemi (2012 84K) gets rough at about 1/8th tank even though the gauge is calibrated for 28 gallons and I have the 32 gallon tank.
If I ever have to have the tank strap replaced, I'll probably have fuel filter and maybe pump evaluated.

I always keep my tank above 3/4 full as I don’t like the thought of if in need I may not have enough gas to get there.
