There’s at least one setting that was enabled for the separate screen of the UAV to function. If it’s not changed back for the UAM, which doesn’t have a separate screen, I’m not sure what the behavior would be. Also not sure what they changed for HVAC, but if it’s not changed, you’ll probably still have the same issues with the UAM.What happens if I swap to UAM without restoring back my BCM?

Not really, unless you buy brand new from a mopar parts supplier. Everyone just buys them from junkyards or eBay, which is EXACTLY what infotainment does. You can find a UAM with bezel for between $650-800. You just need to make sure the bezel is out of an HD Ram because the traction control button is on the bezel, not the lower switch bank like the 5th gen 1500s.Is there a vendor here that sells OEM stereos.

For which radio, a UAM you just put in? If so, give it some time and drive cycles to see what happens.UAV is the 8.4 screen aswell. But you were right, HVAC controls dont work right now, nor reverse camera work correctly right now
I went from UAV (8.4 nav) to UAM (8.4 non nav)For which radio, a UAM you just put in? If so, give it some time and drive cycles to see what happens.

Give it some time. Drive it a few times, and tomorrow evening, let’s see where you’re at.
So one sleep cycle has already fixed most of everything, but climate is still changed through the dash not the nobs. But ODDLY! the tempature actually changes fairly correctly when adjusting up and down on the display. Nobs right now do nothing. If they eventually turn on, I’d be very happy actually!
As long as I don’t set it to “high” it seems like the tenpature adjusts up and down on demand unlike the UAV
Also my sxm and compass don’t work at the moment so keep you posted on that!

These radios take time to pull all the bcm settings, so give it a day and multiple drive cycles to set up, and see what kinks are left. If there’s still issues, you’ll have to talk to infotainment about getting whatever their genie changed back to the way it was before you used it. It’s too hard to guess right now because everything might be fine tomorrow.Do you think I’ll have to have info send me a red lash back to stock? Or the fact that climate seems to be working fairly like it should just nobs haven’t “turned on” is probably normal?

Yes, ultimately the the three physical knobs are supposed to work.I guess the last questions, will the “old style” climate adjusters work with the digital climate on the actual screen?

...And, ultimately, the layout of the controls on the screen you have pictured should change to one temperature slider, and the “auto” soft button on the top row won’t be there.I guess the last questions, will the “old style” climate adjusters work with the digital climate on the actual screen?

Ok, all those HVAC faults are because your BCM thinks your HVAC is configured for dual zone automatic temperature control, and the screen controls reflect that. This could ONLY have happened by using the genie. Only one of three things is going to revert that back to your original single zone manual temperature controls:Never happened, called info, they said I need a factory flash. So I got one. Here is the result...
Called infotainment, they said I need todo a can is reset because I didn’t put my factory unit in while factory flash was happening. So keep everyone posted... I’m worried my trucks ****** up!

Gotcha, I thought you just had the dealership read out the faults. Yes, as usual with these radios, it’s going to take time and drive cycles for everything to come back.I already did factory flash but infotainment is saying I have to todo a canbus reset in tandem because I didn’t put the factory unit in during flash....

Your just going to have to give it some time. The more you disconnect and reconnect things just prolongs it and starts the process over. Drive it a few times and give it a few hours.Still don’t have nav nor sxm either...
Trying this real quick....
4. Unplug then replug all connectors behind the radio and let the vehicle sleep for a few hours.
