Uconnect 5.0 Software NEEDED!

Is there anyway at all to get the uconnect 5.0 software? I need version 11.01.00.00.

I bought a radio from a 2016 ram 3500 to go in my 2013 1500 and it worked fine except the usb and aux inputs. I tried to reload an older version of software and now it just says uconnect on the screen. It does still accept usb drives with software, I just cannot for the life of me find the right version.

I have been to the site, the vin of the radio shows no updates. I tried at least 100 vins from ebay and cars.com. Uconnect support is useless and the dealer wants $100 flash it.

Does anyone have this software handy? I do not mind paying to help but $100 is steep for such an easy task.

You may want to try contacting infotainment and see if they have any firmware updates for the 5.0 radio they could possibly send you. I don't know of anybody on the Forum that has any of the firmware updates for the 5.0 radios. You're 100% correct about Uconnect they have no software updates available for these radios on their website. It doesn't matter how many Vin# you put in basically they're all the same updates so as long as you put the Vin# in for a specific year and it shows no updates than there aren't any for any Ram trucks with the 5.0 radio that year.

Well crap. That is good info thank you. I called the company that infotainment uses to repair their units and that is what they told me to do. lol. These units are as frustrating as the uconnect support. :/

Update: So I called nav repair (sister company to infotainment) and they said it would cost me $75 to ship it to them and have them reload software. Does no one else find it infuriating that uconnect doesn't offer their software for free unless you have an update to do?!

Yes it does. To the best of my knowledge they haven't had any firmware updates on the 5.0 radios for quite some time. The thing that's frustrating is even if they haven't had any updates they should still keep the latest firmware version on the website in case someone wants to update the radios at a later date. There were several updates on the 8.4 radios. Also as a note even if you send the radio to infotainment(nav repair) and have them reload the firmware it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to fix the radio.
