So this has been a not so fun experience. Took my truck to the dealer for the radio install. The original plan was to replace the radio due to the fact that they said the updates do not work and my radio is toast (it came out of the loop after 2 days of update error screens). The agreed price was $408 OTD. I drop it off. They call me 2 hours later and say, "yeah...we put the wrong VIN in the computer and have the base model radio. Yours is more advanced and we will need $1100+ to correct the issue with a radio to match yours." I promptly picked up my truck and left.
Emily from Uconnect left me a voicemail yesterday, I tried calling back, left messages and talked to another tech to sent me back to her voicemail. At this point, my radio is working, short of Nav being 200 miles away and receiving weather warnings from that location. What do I do now?
Is this not a known issue for this model year radio? Should FCA not take ownership and correct the issue?
