UConnect is weird.

Does anyone else see this in their ride ? My '17 Sport 1500 CC has the UConnect 8.4 w/NAV system. When the truck is shut off, the UConnect/radio still plays sometimes for about a minute or two. Then...other times, it shuts off when you shut off the truck.
It's really no big deal to me but I'd like to know if it's normal or if it happens to anyone else's Ram.

There is a power off delay setting in there. But if your door is open or you open the door during the delay timer it will kill it instantly. That is probably what you are experiencing.

That's not it. As soon as I push the button to shut the engine off, the radio/UConnect will either play for a min or two or shut off completely. There is no consistency with it at all.
Even if it does stay on after turning off the engine, opening and closing the door does not turn it off. It will still play for a min or two.
Weird.

I'm not worried about it Alison. Thanks for your reply. I'm just curious if it happens to other Rams. This is my 5th vehicle with the UConnect 8.4 system and it never happened to any of the others. I'll save the trip to the dealership for something more important. LOL!

What software version are you running? Maybe an upgrade would fix it.

Okay that is weird. Maybe just a quirk with your radio? Mine does some odd things at times to.
