Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but a couple of days ago out of nowhere my screen started rebooting itself every two to three minutes. Coincidentally and worst timing ever it started happening at about hour 7 of a 10 hour road trip. I stopped to get gas, shut off the truck, refueled, and noticed it as soon as I got back on the road. I was using Waze for navigation so it was super annoying for the remainder of the drive.

Once we reached our destination I tried researching it and found a couple of suggestions (disconnect the battery and reset, check for recent updates and roll them back if possible) but none of them worked, there was no recent update that I could find and the battery fix didn't stop it. Since it wasn't affecting anything else I was able to drive around for a couple of days and while trying to enjoy our family vacation.

Just yesterday I figured I'd try disconnecting the Bluetooth on my phone just so my calls wouldn't keep jumping from the phone to the Uconnect. What I noticed was that the Uconnect stopped restarting. Not once for the 20 minute drive did it restart. I can't explain why this is happening and I'm hoping someone can provide some guidance on how to fix it.

Take your phone, unpair it from U Connect. Cycle truck on/off a few times. Wait a few, repair/synch phone back to BT, see if that helps?

Also, it helps to know if phone is Apple or Android. On Apple phones, helps once in a while to totally shut down to clear memory on phone.

Depending upon your trim level of truck and U Connect, your system may need to be flashed also. Like if U have the 8.4, or 12", and whether n or not U have 911/NAV and stuff or just straight plain jane U Con 4 radio.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S22. I unpaired the phone and synced it back a couple of times with no luck. I was able to pair my tablet to it and it's not doing the restarting thing with that, it's only with my phone. At first I thought it was my Android Auto but even with that disconnected and only using Bluetooth it was still doing it. I tried checking to make sure my phone hadn't updated. It's so confusing because it had been working just fine before I stopped to get gas that day.

I have the 8.4" screen in a 2019 Big Horn Classic trim. It doesn't have the Navigation which is why I use my phone with Android Auto so I can get Waze. i drive a lot to various construction sites daily so I'm using it frequently.

My only thought is you may need an update/reflash on your OS on the U Connect. Depending upon your radio, U may be able to go to u-connect site and download update.

On MY 19, I can do no OTA and site still shows my radio up to date, tho I know it is not. I would have to go to dealer to get updated, so I am still operating with the original OS when built in April 2018.
