Back in December I received a promo for UConnect to get Assistance+ for .99cents per month for 3 months. Don’t really use the remote start and stuff since my vehicle is always in a heated garage but hey for that price why not I thought. Well I just received my credit card bill and I can see the .99 cents charge but the next day they charged me another $33.58. So I called them and they said oh yeah it’s for an unpaid bill from 2 years ago. Well I’m sorry but there’s no way I would pay that much for something I don’t use and why is this the first time I’m hearing about this. They won’t refund me. I feel scammed. Am I the only one that has had this happened to them? This is for a 2022 Ram Laramie.

It sounds like they were perfectly within their rights. Especially, if you were in arrears.

Call your CC Bank and get a charge back issued against them.

Yup I told them them I would be doing that and to close my account, cancel the promo and get rid of my credit card on file and that I would report this to the BBB

I used their 6 month promo when I first got the truck and diligently cancelled well before the expired time when I first bought the truck. Let’s say I did owe a balance (I’m sure I didn’t) then tell me why for 2 years, why was there was no email sent, no collection letters, phone calls and no mention in my Ram or FCA account. Believe me, any company out there that’s owed money would at least send an email or a phone call to try and recover their money or at least try to talk to you about the charges.
BTW. I’m not trying to be a show off but I earn over 230k per year , have never had bills in arrears and always pay the full amount on my credit cards and am nicely financially secured and I have got a background in accounting and always have all my affairs in order.

I have not ever used Uconnect's Pay for Service

Back in 2009, Uconnect was not a Pay For Service, It was really only Bluetooth

Back then, i did pay a Minimal Fee for Sirius, they did not have Sirius XM back then.
I think it was something like $30 or even less a Year at that time
