I have a 2018 Tradesman - I love it - prolly get a v8 next. The Uconnect software and tech in the truck isnt that great. Is there a way to upgrade to a better system that will do more than what this one does? Something to avoid picking up my phone and looking at it while driving.

I have a 2018 Tradesman also. Upgraded to a 8.4 UAS radio. Plug and play. I just added a cable from M2MODS to allow the rear camera view that appears in my mirror to also appear on radio. I also added steering wheel radio controls. I can use my phone's Google maps with touchscreen of radio. Plus it controls other things if you have, or add options.

If you are upgrading with aftermarket you can retain most features with Maestro cable.

Yes upgrade to Uconnect UAQ or UAS like above.
