UConnect update?

Anyone with a 2014 Ram 1550 get a Uconnect update to 17.43.01? A co-worker got an update message OTA to 17.43.01. His truck is a 2015 1500. He has 8.4 without nav. Basically the same as my system.

However, when I check my vin on Uconnect update page, it says I have the latest version. But my software is 17.11.07 and I have the 8.4 without nav.

Isn't 17.11.07 older than 17.43.01? Should I get 17.43.01 and do the update manually?

Does anyone know the release date sequence for uconnect updates?

Did he do the OTA? if so, what is his installed version after the process?

Its possible the OTA he is seeing is for 18.something, its starting to go around.

Still in the process of updating. He said it shut off the sound when he did it OTA. He went to the dealer and they know nothing about it. Called support and they had him download and do it manually. That file is 17.43.01.
I'll update once he is finished.

The OTA seems to have started going out in early September, but as usual left hand and right hand arent anywhere near each other, so some dealers "have no idea". UConnect support even seems clueless.

So you are saying that, because of the software numbering, there should be an update and that 17.43.01 should be the latest?

My truck was a 2017 and came with 17.25.08 already installed, but from reading around

17.11.something, 17.25.08, 17.43.01 is about the right order. Not sure what was before 17.11.something.

The latest OTA that seems to be getting pushed is 18.11.07.

So, 17.43 is newer than 17.11 or 17.25. 18.11 is newer than all of those. It does go in order.

Currently the 18.x version is not downloadable (driveuconnect.com), but the 17.43 should be. I would always prefer downloading and installing with USB stick, seems more reliable a process than the over the air stuff. But currently the 18.x is OTA *only*, hoping that changes in the next week or so.

Well, his update skipped right over 17.43 and went to 18.11.07.

Din't know how that happened. He was instructed to dwnld 17.43, but it locked up his unit. Went to the dealer and they did a hard reboot, pulled the fuse, then had to disconnect the battery. His HU then had 18.11.07 on it. I checked it myself.

Yeah a lot of that going around, it seems.

Still banking on it being downloadable for people who dont have good Sprint cell coverage and/or replacement radios.

Got the OTA update 5 days ago. Went through without a hitch in about 15 minutes and is now on version 18.11.07.
Anyone know if this update includes any new features?

No new features, just a fix for the GPS roll over date. Couple of threads on here about it.

I was prompted to schedule last week. I canceled it. It came back up this morning so I scheduled it after I parked at work.
Went to leave for lunch and radio locked. Came back and removed the fuse for 20 mins, the one by itself on the harness. Popup showed back up.
Did the door open, close, lock, start trick. Popup gone, but firmware is the same as before 17.11.xx.

I have a bad feeling the popup may come back.

Maybe just let the update come down? It seems to be more stable lately (i.e. more stories of success vs failure)

I tried to.
I left for work about 7am. Had it scheduled for 745am. Seemed to have tried to update, because it was locked up when I went to lunch. Got the radio back up and working but there doesn't seem to be an update according to the software version.

Guess I'll have to wait for the schedule pop up again.

I recently had mine update and was nervous after reading some of the stories. I set mine while I was at work too and at the end of the day, the radio said it was locked and kept asking me to update. After I started the truck three or four times the update must have completed and the radio unlocked.
