I just picked up my 2018 1500. I am learning the electronics features. Does this system include GPS nav or do I have to pay extra for it?

Does it have 8.4 screen?

If not, no nav.

If so does it have a nav button on the screen? If so yes you have nav.

If no nav button, you can have it activated, or plug in your phone and if compatible you can mirror navigation from phone to screen.

Actually, it depends on the model of 8.4, if that turns out to be what OP has. In 2018, they switched to two new models; UAS (Non-Nav) and the UAQ (Nav). Unlike previously, you cannot add native navigation to the UAS. The user would still be able to run Android Auto or Apple CarPlay to get navigation in that sense.

Silly question here, but what does your window sticker say? Have you looked up your build sheet to see what options were installed?

Check your dealer invoice, it should list all of your options and accessories on your truck.
