Underbody LED's

Anyone played around with underbody led's? Do you know if blue is legal?

Got ya. Messing around with a street truck so I thought about those the other day. Sort of like taking it back to the late 80's/90's with the streetglow look. I guess people still put kits on their cars and trucks?

Yep, you can only do it for show.....I thought all blue under the all black truck would be awesome.

AFAIK in Texas (Where I'm at) It's legal as long as you are stationary and they're not flashing (Signifying emergency vehicles)

Basically saying. You can have blue under lights. If used only when parked and for show.

I had blue underbody lights on my car back in the 90's, the police did not care for it one bit. I dont know haw many times I was pulled over for driving on the street or freeway with them on! Save it for the parking lots and shows and you should be good to go.

i had blue halos on my old truck.. this cop didn't know that i knew the lighting law quite well, but told me no on blue or red..

but that being said, the underglow lighting is illegal if you can see the light strip, its a "distraction to other drivers". so i'd just let the ricers have all the fun with it.

Definitely check your state laws. I know here in Louisiana, blue, red, and green are illegal if you're parked or driving. Any other colors are legal as long as you can't see the bulb. I used to ride around with a copy of the law from the police website in my old vehicle. Used it a few times and had the cop looking puzzled when I told him I could get the ticket fixed because it's a bs ticket. LOL! They don't mess with you here if you have them on at a show, but they love to throw their weight around if you have them on either in a parking lot or driving around with a legal color here.
