Upgrade stock speakers

Exactly what I did, difference is night and day and it was real inexpensive considering! I did also add a small amp for the 6 speakers made things even better!

Which Kicker CS speakers? Looks like there are a few different ones on Amazon. About to order a couple sets of these.

Those are pretty much same, only cosmetic change in 2019.

we have a "marine" 6 channel, same as 12v, but setup for marine.

You’re using an aftermarket head unit I assume? I’d like to keep my 2018 stereo wiring apple car play. I ordered the kicker speakers. I didn’t know if there is an amp that would work with the stock 8.4

all the Kicker amps have FIT input, so you can hook them up to factory radios since like 2010 and up.

Well I installed 4 new pioneer TS-A6966R speakers in the doors. I have the 8.4” radio non alpine 6 speaker setup. These speakers fit perfectly. Very simple install as I also bought the factory plugs for them. So everything was plug and play. Speakers wer 84 for 4. Made a good improvement over the stock speakers. I may change the dash speakers but for now it sounds much better

I guess I need to do some reading. What did you tap on the radio for the input to the Amp? And you ran new wiring to each new speaker? I appreciate the help!! I've never really been a stereo guy.

The speaker wire adapters you need are Metra 72-7902.
