Check out Clazzio seat covers. Fully customizable and a decent price. You can add treated heat too for not much more.

Here is a great link for adding steering wheel controls! I spent a bunch of money installing the leather wheel, satin trim ring, and steering wheel controls separately. I would recommend paying for a used steering wheel off of eBay with all of those things on it! I have attached an awesome link to installing the steering wheel controls, it was just plug and play super easy!

Hi Guys,

I got a real boost of responsiveness out of the K&N CAI - so far, it seems to be running much better. Previously, I had a bit of lag time when I depressed the accelerator - that's gone now. I'm happy to have done this particular upgrade...

...Only there's one problem - my remote start doesn't work anymore (ostensibly because I disconnected the battery negative.) I have a permanent U0140 code (lost contact with body module,) which, I believe is a bug that was corrected with the most recent flash update on the computer...and I also understand that ANY code registered on the computer, once the battery is disconnected (as I did to do the CAI job) will make it so the remote start doesn't work until that code is cleared. I have an OBD II scanner that erases codes, but because the code is permanent, it won't let me do the reset.

Am I in for a $129.00 trip to the dealer to get the flash updated so the remote start will work?

Regards,

Maitai

Hey Fellas,

Just a quick update: I did the CAI and WeatherTech stuff listed in my signature...next, we move onto leather upholstery. Since I don't want covers, I have Leatherseats.com and Katzkin to choose from - but I tried inputting the information into the Katzkin fitment guide, and didn't see anything that fit the 1500 - or any Dodge truck. Seriously, Tim Broberg at Leather Seats has been amazing, and I've decided to go with a Dark Graphite with Fawn-colored insert, heated seat option, double stitching, and Ram logo in the center of both front seats - done in Fawn. If you're interested in seeing the mockup, it's right here on one of their installation videos...I fell in love with it immediately, and even though I considered different colors, this one is going to accentuate my truck beautifully...and all for only $1128.00 shipped! I'm doing the installation, and only have to buy a few small tool items. Also, I don't have to do it all at once - since I'm single, I have time to pull out the passenger seat while I perfect my installation craft. I'M ORDERING ON MONDAY, and since I graduate from school on WEDNESDAY, I should be able to start right away once I receive my built package!

Chat soon...I'll take pics, too ;)

Best,

Maitai
