Got in my truck this afternoon, plugged in my phone, and nothing. Tried both USB/C to Lightning ports and would not charge my iPhone or connect. Pull out a separate USB/A to Lightning and still nothing. After trying the wireless Ram Charger, it took a good 2 minutes for it to light up, but almost immediately it flashes red. Remove the phone, place it back on the Ram Charger and it's a steady blue. Wait a couple minutes on the drive, place the USB/C plug back in and plug the phone in, and now everything works.

Anyone else have this issue?

This is not the first time this has happened.

Would be hard to know if it's phone or cable or truck connector or something else.
Try changing cable for new one. use compressed air on all ports. With or without air, use tooth pick or toothbrush (nothing metal)

As for the wireless charger... It's sucky in my view. I have/had Iphone 12/13 Pro Max both with Otterbox cases.
95% of the time wireless charger doesn't work. Goes blue for while turns off. Even with case off. it rarely turns blue

My S22 Ultra with/without Otterbox case always works.

Never had an issue with either directly connected. But I clean ports on my phones every couple weeks. Work at very dusty location.

could always be software related or issue with port console.

Yep, had two separate cables, one a USB/C, the other USB/A, neither worked in a four ports.

I'll give the air a try, who knows?

The wireless charger was a good idea on paper, but yeah, if you precisely place it in the rubber clamps, and your not on a bumpy ride, it might work

I have found the wireless charging in mine to be unreliable and slow also, tested on my wife's iPhone 13 Pro Max. Further, does not work for me at all as I have a Samsung Z Fold 3, there is little support anywhere for this phone unfortunately. The 12" screen definitely takes some getting used to, that is for sure.

Relatedly, we have a lot of trouble with the USB ports also in our '17 charger with 8.4" screen, that I have already had to do the DIY screen cleaning for the highly annoying constant ghost pressing. Constant car restarts/uninstall/reinstall of Uconnect/android auto, and have not found a fix for that yet.

I got the same problem, they replaced the USB hub and still the same, when they don't work I have to turn off the truck, open the door close it lock it then try and works, screen errors... not really happy about this.

I plug my phone in and go on about my drive ignoring it for the most part. On occasion it has been slow to connect, but it’s never failed to connect. I do not have wireless so can’t comment on that.
