Valve train tap on cold start

I do all kinds of weird things, but mine isn't the worst if i move it an hour after i park it, but if i crank it and move it into the garage say one minute of runtime, then the next morning it ticks. Ive tried revving the motor some before i kill it, doesn't help. So now if i crank my truck its going on at least a 4 mile trip, even though im just putting it in the garage. These things are so picky. I wont take it if somewhere on my trip i have to idle for a while i will take another car. I tell you I wouldn't have put up with this long ago, but i love my truck.
