How accurate are the exterior dimension specs listed on ramtrucks.com? Looking at a ‘22 2500 mega cab limited’s listed height of 80.1”, is that to the top of the cab or top of the shark fin antennae?

My garage has 82” of vertical clearance so im trying to confirm the truck fits.

Thanks!

I have a 2021 3500 4x4 crew cab and I clear an 82” garage door by this much…

My 2018 2500 Off-Road package sits about 78" IIRC. I have a 7' door and it clears the shark fin by about 2"

Thanks. The 3500 as advertised sits at 78.5” so based off your image I am now really fearful the 2500 wont fit.

Using This link from ram I calculated my 2018 at max height (air ride at full off road) to be 79.6”. So maybe the 80.1” 2500 will be fine?

Raised my ‘18 up to max and measured to the top of the shark fin; 79.25”. So the ram website was pretty close, if not spot on and I was off a bit in measuring.

With it at max height I slowly left the garage and had at least a few inches above the fin.

This is the 7 foot marker at the car wash, don't worry it's a brushless. '21 CC 4x4 (80.2 on the site)

Doesnt look like 4” of airspace, but maybe its the angle. Thanks for the post/info
Yeah I figured someone sitting the same height as your advertised height would make more sense to comment. I haven't tried in my garage, the truck wouldn't fit all the way in anyway.

Mine initially would not fit in my 7' bay but I adjusted my garage door opener to get the door to go up a little higher. My door actually goes higher than the opening so the opening (framing) is my limit now. So in case your door isn't up all the way be sure to adjust the opener using the adjustment screws on the sides of the opener. One side should adjust the pressure required to reverse it for safety and the other side should adjust the up and down limits. Most newer openers should have this ability
