Hoping anyone with the AVS in-channel vest visors can help me out. To install, does the front tab on the front window go into the window channel like the rest of the visor or do you squeeze it between the outer rubber seal and the side mirror cap?

I put it in the window channel but the window seems to constantly hit it, but it does not seem like the alternative would work. Any pics of install would be much appreciated.

Goes in the window. keep the window up for a day or so and it will seat it back a little bit.

What he said and if you roll it up and it hits the visor it should automatically roll half way down. If that happens hold the up button till its al the way up. The instructions say leave the window up for 24 hours.

The instructions on mine said to put that tab under the mirror cap. Mine worked fine that way.

This is what my instructions said when I looked a little closer. I also spoke with a CS rep and she said the same thing. Specifically, the instructions say to "slide flange between rubber and mirror cap". Do you have any pics? It just does not seem like that would work.

Thanks for the pic. AVS is sending me some more of the adhesive tape, so I just need to figure out if I want to pull them out and reinstall.

I am. The in-channels I recieved still had some adhesive tape on them to adhere to the inside of the window channel. I would have to completely remove them in order to re-intall if I choose to place the front tab between the mirror cap and rubber seal.

What did you end up doing? Mine came in today and I am debating what to do with that tab.

AVS sent me some more tape that I just received on Saturday. Have not made any changes yet. Still need to take a look and see what I want to do.

I think it looks cleaner if the tab goes in the window channel. The window initally did hit the visor, but I think it has seated a bit better now.

I did it the way it says to and went between the mirror and trim. I was reluctant but it actually fits nice.

How far does it push out the plastic mirror cap? That is my one concern.

Not near as much as I thought it would. Its a tight squeeze. I had to use my fingernail to pull out the top of it enough to get it in. Makes for a nice tight fit though.

I tucked it behind the mirror cap as well. Nice and tight fit. Looks great. I wasn't sure what to do, but, decided I should probably follow instructions.

Good luck!

They been on for a week now and I am very happy with these. They are not interfering with the window, are sturdy, & look great. Good job AVS
