I have a 2007 Dodge ram 1500 TRX four with a 5.7 hemi. I have an issue when the truck goes into overdrive there is a vibration. If I pushed down the gas to shift down the vibration goes away. If I turn off overdrive there is no vibration at all. Has anyone seen this issue before? If so maybe someone can help me please

Your truck has mds multi displacement system and it can cause what could be perceived as a vibration. Felt typically at very light throttle mds is only active during light load conditions. Tow/haul cancels it o/d off as well. If the vibration is still present after having verified this balencing the wheels is usually the first step to take. But the way you describe it it sounds like mds.

I posed this same question a while ago. It's the MDS. The vibration always kicks in for me around 35ish mph, most often while taking my foot off the pedal at this speed. Don't put on tow/haul, as it'll kill your MPGs, though it will turn off MDS. You can get a tuner and deactivate MDS, which will deactivate the vibration. Or you can live with it, which I haven't found or heard of any adverse reactions yet. :D Happy vibrating trails.

Thank you for the responses. I just plugged in my superchip programmer, and it through a code for P3400 which was the cylinder deactivation system bank one . I turned off the MDS and everything seems to be OK with that problem now. Any ideas how to fix that or is it not worth it to have the MDS on? how much does it save on the gas mileage by having that on?

I've heard both that people's mileage does not change without mds, and that some experience a slight increase due to less on and off of the cylinders. Depends on if you see much highway driving. If not, you probably won't see that much of a change.
