I have a 2020 RAM Limited 1500 Crew Cab - 5.5'
I have what i feel like is a recent very bad vibration, that is very evident on smoth highway at around 60mph, then it seems to get more consolidated at 70's and up where you think the road may be rough. But at 60mph it is more shaking. Not in the steering wheel. It has brand new Nitto Ridge Grapplers on after replacing the ones that were only 12k miles as I knew that would be the villian. They are 285/55/22 i believe. First pair i got was smooth as glass.
Took it to the dealer, they feel it, put another vehcile wheels and tires on and drove it and it still occurs.. Then they supposedly drove another new Limited Air Ride truck, and say it inherent in the truck. I think that's BS, and a new model $66k truck with air ride should not shake on brand new highway pavement with tires that balance out on road force at single digit

Has anyone experienced or dealt with this. Does anyone have any ides?

Thanks,
Keith

It is hard to fathom someone who sold you a truck says it is normal to shake at 60mph. Depending on how old the truck is and your local laws, you might have a case. I literally won 13k because a dealer refused to fix a suspension that clicked when I turned left. The key to winning is my locale protects new owners up to 18 months new. You need them to refuse to fix it on paper invoice as soon as possible, look up your local lemon law, it costs you nothing, the lawyer takes a fee from your recovery. I looked it up, you have 24 months or 24k miles, are you in that window?

Shaked through two sets of tires? Do you have warranty claim on oem tires? They will blame the over sized tires, that might hurt you getting them to fix it. did you get rid of oem tires? did you level or lift it?

I opened a case with RAM Customer Care, they did supposedly put a set of stock wheels/tires off another truck so that can be eliminated without me having to buy more tires. I do have the adjustable level on the front, only about 1", but it's easy to take off when i go to dealer. Will see how RAM does, I've had it 25 months and 30k miles.
Thanks,

I have same issue . I have a new Ram 2021 Limited (air suspension and is not lifted ) . Just installed brand new Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/50/R22 . Vibrations feels from 40 up MPH . Right now at supplier balancing wheels but from what I have found in different forums this is an awkward problem related to the tire itself but not sure if solution has been truly found. Any feedback is truly appreciated

Are you using your stock wheels or aftermarket?

I'm just trying to see if I follow your original description. You said the first pair of Grapplers were smooth as glass? Did you mean to say the first set, not pair?

About the timing of this, did you notice the shaking as soon as you installed the new tires, or was it happening some time before or some time after getting the new tires?

Whoever said this is inherent in a new truck with air suspension is just wanting you to go away. No way that's normal. Mine rides smooth as glass, even with the AT tires I put on. No two year old vehicle meant for highway use should shake at 60 mph.

Most likely still tires. I can't tell you how many times I have taken a vehicle back to get a vibration to go away. Of course after a few tries the shop will work it out. It takes some patience that they are hoping you will just give up on. Be persistent and insist it is more than likely the tires. Road force balancing is extremely helpful with tracking down these gremlins.

Did you find out what was causing the vibration?
