Just had a Mopar limited slip diff that i bought from Moe's Performance installed by a local Ram dealer. Does it affect my warranty in any way? I still have until 5/18 for my 3 yr/ 36k mile bumper to bumper plus the 5 yr/ 100k mile powetrain warranty since its a 2014. I'm wondering because it wasn't purchased from the dealer but is a Mopar genuine part and installed by dealer service dept.

Not sure....but should have asked before it was installed if you were worried about it.

If dealer installed it and you have proof its an oem part you should be ok.

What would be cooler to see, would be you making the dealership prove that the lsd wasn't already in your truck when you bought it.

I'm not too concerned with it. The only thing that shouldn't be covered (if they void anything) should be the rear end. And wouldn't they have to prove the lsd caused whatever problem occurred to deny warranty? Either way i was just curious more than worried.

You should be covered.....the part by dodge thru parts, and the install thru the dealer that did it

All they would have to do is type the VIN in the computer to see what was/was not installed from the assembly line.

Not that cool.
I knew someone would say that. There's plenty of variables that can come into play that may not have ensured the dealership updated the vin information. Unless humans dont make mistakes and forget things

Dealers install extra options all the time. Im curious to know if you look up the VIN on one of these trucks with a dealer installed RCX lift, if it says "6" RCX lift" on the vin lookup...

Hi bryan28--warranty issues may arise if something happens to the vehicle and it is traced back to the aftermarket part or the installation thereof. However, since your dealership installed the part, that helps. If you experience any issues, let us know.
